Free Choral Workshop with Dr. Floydd Ricketts
Calling all singers & choral educators!
Phoenix Chamber Choir is hosting a free choral workshop led by Dr. Floydd Ricketts exploring Afrocentric music and spirituals on Friday, October 21, 7-9 PM.
Dr. Floydd Ricketts (Director of Choirs at Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs NY) is a Montreal-based conductor, award-winning musical director, educator, activist. Floydd completed his doctorate exploring the topics of African American Spiritual performance practice, and cultural appropriation.
This workshop is open to all singers, choral directors and educators. Music will be provided. Pre-registration is required.
