Production Manager

Phoenix Chamber Choir is currently searching for a Production Manager.

 

The Production Manager will work collaboratively with the choir Administrator to coordinate logistics for the event as well as managing on-site event needs. The PM must not be an active singer nor conductor in the event. The position offers the opportunity to gain experience in not-for-profit organization administration in the arts sector.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Managing pre-event logistics including: Booking and coordination of venues, Creation of programs, Creation of schedule-of-events, and Recruitment and training of volunteers for events.

 Managing on-site event logistics including: Coordination of pre-production set-up and post-production tear-down, Coordination of volunteers for front-of-house, Managing ticket-sales, Managing merchandise sales, and Greeting and assisting audience members.

 For online (virtual) events, additional responsibilities may include: Identification and management of online platform, and Creation of a pre-event schedule

QUALIFICATIONS

 Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills
 Ability to work collaboratively and take direction from the Phoenix Chamber Choir Administrator and artistic team, and to work collaboratively with audience members, musicians, and both professional and volunteer staff
 Knowledge and facility in the use of Google-based document management (G-Suite) and Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
 Ability to have meetings by video conference as required.

Previous knowledge of any of the following would be considered an asset: WordPress based website maintenance, Video and audio editing, and Social media platform outreach (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube)

Previous experience working with a not-for-profit organization, arts organization, and/or choral organization is considered an asset.
