In the final concert of the season, guest conductor Kathleen Allan explores reflections on identity, technology, and self-perception in the digital age. Music by Jeff Enns, Arvo Pärt, Hugo Wolf, Holst, Britten, Schumann and Lassus centres around the musical fairytale by Canadian composer Jason Noble: “Furiouser and Spuriouser” or “Unforeseen Consequences of the Democratization of Knowledge.” Andrew Staniland’s “On the Surface of Water” closes the program and features an iPhone instrument to be played by the audience.
