Auditions for our 2022-2023 Season
Auditions for our 2022-2023 Season
Auditions for most voice parts are now closed, however we are still accepting auditions for Tenor 1 and Bass 2.
Auditions will remain open for these voice parts until the positions are filled, or until the start of our season. Please read below on how to prepare and submit your audition video.
What to prepare
Singers are asked to submit a video of yourself including:
- A brief introduction of yourself and why you would like to sing with Phoenix.
- A vocalization (i.e. warm up) of your choice that demonstrates both the top and bottom of your range.
- Two contrasting pieces in your preferred vocal range and style, one of which is in a language other than English.
- Please limit your video to 10 minutes or less.
Please record yourself so that your torso and head are visible in the frame, and ensure that you have configured your microphone settings so that you can sing a fully supported sound without maxing out your input.
Once we have reviewed your video submission, successful applicants will be invited for a zoom interview with our Artistic Director, Nicholle Andrews, as well as our Assistant Conductor, Dave Rosborough. This will be an opportunity to get to know a bit more about you and your choral background/experience, discuss our plans for the upcoming season, and any questions that you might have.
How do I submit my video?
Please email your video to our administrator (admin@phoenixchoir.com) with “Audition Video” in the subject line. If you have a musical CV, please include it in the email.
If you have any questions or concerns about creating your audition video, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us! Contact admin@phoenixchoir.com with any questions.
