Thank you for your interest in auditioning for the Phoenix Chamber Choir!
Auditions for the 2020-2021 Season will be happening during the month of June in two parts: a video submission followed by an online interview with our Artistic Team.
What to prepare
Singers are asked to submit a video of yourself singing two contrasting pieces in your preferred vocal range and style, one of which is in a language other than English. Please also introduce yourself and let us know a bit about your choral background/experience and why you would like to sing with Phoenix.
Please record yourself so that your torso and head are visible in the frame, and ensure that you have configured your microphone configured so that you can sing a fully supported sound without maxing out your input.
Once we have reviewed all the video submissions, successful applicants will be asked to sign up for a time to have a video-conference with our Artistic Director, Nicholle Andrews, as well as our Assistant Conductor, Ian Bannerman. This will be an opportunity to get to know you a bit more and discuss our plans for the upcoming season and any questions that you might have.
How do I sign up?
Please email your video to our administrator with “Audition Video” in the subject line. If you have a musical CV, please also include it in the email.
We will be accepting videos until June 15th, at which point we will begin scheduling interviews during the week of June 15 – 20th.
