Thank you for your interest in auditioning for the Phoenix Chamber Choir!

Auditions will happen at two times this summer:

Earlybird Auditions | Saturday, June 22, 2019

Second Round Auditions | Friday, August 9 – Saturday, August 10, 2019.

What to expect

Singers are asked to prepare two contrasting pieces in your preferred vocal range and style. You will also be sent a piece of choral repertoire one week in advance of your audition date, and should come ot the audition prepared to sing your part in a quartet with others. Lastly, there will be a short sight singing excerpt provided at the audition, which will also be sung in quartets.

Tell me about the difference between the two dates

Any singer who auditions at either session will be considered equally and fairly, however, there are a couple of slight differences. Most notably, those at earlybird auditions will hear sooner about the result of their audition and can plan their year ahead accordingly, upon being welcomed into the choir. We encourage you, if able, to audition early. Of additional importance is that our new Artistic Director, Nicholle Andrews, D. Mus., will be physically present to meet all of the singers auditioning during the August session. The June session will be recorded by video and sent to her.
